    This year’s Battle of Legends set, Battle of Legends: Monster Mayhem, comes with three new surprises!
    Surprise #1: It’s time for Chibi!
    Get 10 cute “chibi” variants of popular monsters. We’ve used the chibi art style for accessories before, but this is the first time it’s been used on real cards. And just to be clear: These are not tokens, but fully playable cards with game text!
    (Expect even more chibi variants in the future!)
    Surprise #2: Bling out in style!
    Also new in this set – Ultra Rares with imprint! Each pack of Battle of Legends: Monster Mayhem contains a Dragon Maiden, P.U.N.K. or Orcus themed Ultra Rares card with a custom emblem for that theme emblazoned directly on the card’s text box.
    This is your chance to spice up those decks with unprecedented style! There are 51 cards with emblems in total, including 6 brand new cards (2 for each theme).
    Surprise #3: The starlights are back!
    Okay, some people saw this coming! But the surprise isn’t that Starlight Rares are back – which they are – but that they’re much easier to get! Starlight Rares, which last appeared in 2023 as extremely hard-to-find cards, will be about as common in Battle of Legends: Monster Mayhem as they have been in Quarter-Century Secret Rares in recent years.
    No surprise: lots of new cards!
    One thing you can always expect from a Battle of Legends: set is new cards for your decks, and they’re always all foil. Battle of Legends: Monster Mayhem includes new cards for Necroc, Gem Knight, Jurrac, Fabled, D/D, Magistus decks and more.
    It’s also no surprise that this extensive 177-card set includes many old – and new! – favorites that you might still be looking for (Primite Lordly Lode, anyone?), or that you might want to buy as a Foil upgrade (King of the Feral Imps was very unhappy with its apparent lack of sparkle).
