Riftbound is the collectible card game based on League of Legends. Riot Games is developing it in collaboration with UVS Games; it is played by two players in a duel or by multiple players in an alliance format. Radiance is the fifth set and will be released worldwide on October 23, 2026.
The set features 180 new cards, 66 of which are Showcase cards, along with nine Legend slots and one new Ultimate Rare. Five champions have been confirmed: Seraphine, Evelynn, Ekko, Ziggs, and Jarvan IV. This page lists all release dates, the exact contents of a Booster Pack, the six Domains that serve as the basis for deck building, and the three products you can pre-order from us.
For Beginners
Read through the basic rules, then try your hand at a game. Ten minutes, and you’ll be ready to play.
Each player brings three battlefields; one of them is randomly placed in play. So during a duel, there are two on the table: yours and your opponent’s.
Every turn begins with four fixed steps. Their initial letters form A, B, C, D, so they’re easy to remember.
Everything you exhausted in your last turn is restored: units, runes, gear, and your Legend.
Now you earn points for holding territory. You get one point for each battlefield you control that has no enemy units on it.
Place the top two cards of your rune deck into your stock. The player who goes second receives three cards instead of two on their very first turn.
You draw one card from the main deck. After that, it’s your turn.
During the Action Phase, you play units, spells, and gear; move units between your base and the battlefields; activate abilities; and initiate combat. The order and number of actions are up to you, as long as you have enough runes. Your opponent may respond with reactions in between.
Unspent Energy and Power expire at the end of your turn, and the supply is emptied. And because the Rune deck has exactly twelve cards and you draw two at a time, there are enough refills for six turns. That’s why Riftbound games are short.
That’s the name of the battle in Riftbound. It doesn’t happen automatically—only when you choose to initiate it.
You move a unit onto a battlefield where enemy units are present. This starts the showdown, and both sides may use abilities.
Both sides add up the Might values of their participating units and distribute the damage.
Units whose Might does not exceed the damage they have suffered are destroyed. Whoever remains alone on the battlefield takes control of it and has conquered it.
If you win a battle on a battlefield and capture it, you immediately earn one point.
If, at the start of your turn, you control a battlefield with no enemy units on it, you earn one point. This happens every turn.
Certain cards award points directly, without any combat.
The last point has its own rule. Occupying an uncontrolled battlefield while others are still free does not earn you a point, but only a card. You earn the eighth point by holding a battlefield, capturing all battlefields in the same turn, or receiving it through a card effect.
Riftbound has been in development since 2023 under the leadership of Dave Guskin, who previously led Legends of Runeterra, and Chengran Chai. It is published by UVS Games, known as Shining Soul in China. Set 1 was first released in China in August 2025, followed by the global English version on October 31, 2025.
Two battlefields, eight points. The board shows what each move is worth.
Move 1
Give it a try. Capture your opponent’s square first—that’s worth one point right away.
Two battlefields, eight points to victory. Click a square or end your turn.
The Schedule
You still have three appointments left before the shoot. The current phase is highlighted.
September 6, 2026Release: October 23, 2026
The reveals will begin at the Regional Qualifier in Los Angeles from September 25 to 27 and run through October 9. The four as-yet-unrevealed Legends will also be unveiled during this period.
The week before the release. Pre-Rift is the prerelease format for Riftbound; players use Pre-Rift kits before the set is available in stores.
Global launch. Starting on this date, we’ll begin shipping all pre-orders.
The Legends
Radiance has nine Legend slots. The four remaining slots will be added during the preview season.
Mind / Order (not final yet)
The set’s legendary pop star. Her mechanics so far revolve around tokens: the more exhausted tokens are in play, the stronger she becomes.
Body / Chaos (not yet final)
The antagonist in the Showdown Deck. Along with Akali from Vendetta and Seraphine, Radiance brings the third K/DA member into the game.
Mind
His Legend ability lets you disempower him: The next unit you play costs 2 energy and 1 Power less, but dies at the end of the turn.
Confirmed; domain and abilities still to be announced.
Confirmed; domain and abilities still to be announced.
Will be shown starting September 25 during the preview season.
The Story Behind It
K/DA is not a concept created for the card game; rather, it is a virtual pop group that Riot Games unveiled on November 3, 2018, with a performance as an augmented reality show at the League of Legends World Championship in Incheon. The four founding members are Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa. Seraphine joined later as a guest performer.
“Pop/Stars” reached No. 1 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, garnered 5 million views in its first 24 hours, and had reached 643 million views by September 2025. In 2022, it was certified Platin by the RIAA.
Riftbound follows this pattern across several sets. With “Radiance,” all five musicians have entered the fray, and the last two face off against each other in the Showdown Deck of all places.
Deck Construction Basics
Every domain has exactly one opposite. Anyone familiar with the three axes knows, even before the first Pack, which combinations are practically nonexistent.
Mind
Blue
The home of spells and thus the natural environment for combo decks.
Body
Orange
Few, but large, units and a strong focus on recycling runes.
Mind and Body form a core axis. Cards typically do not belong to both domains of a pair, so those who build around Mind generally forgo Body.
Tap a domain to see its axis. All six are listed in full below.
What’s Inside
The number is printed on the Radiance Pack. Here’s how it breaks down.
14 cards per pack, including 3 Foil cards. One display contains 24 Packs, for a total of 336 cards.
Starting with Legacy, we are replacing a Common card slot in Booster Packs with a slot reserved for either a Legend or a Battlefield card
Official announcement, playriftbound.com
Starting with Legacy, the set following Radiance, Riot is replacing a Common slot in Booster Packs with a slot for either a Legend or a Battlefield. Instead of seven Commons, there will then be six in each Pack. Radiance is thus the last set built according to the current format.
Pre-order
Everything is available for pre-order from us; shipping begins on October 23, 2026.

24 Packs, 336 cards
For anyone who wants to see the full range of the set. A display is also the standard setup for a draft night at the store.

Two pre-built decks in one box
The most affordable way for two to get started. Open the box, unroll the Playmats, and play. You don’t need anything else besides the box.

Booster Packs Plus Storage
The runes are the real draw. If you’re building a second deck, you’ll need them anyway, and the three Foil tokens are only available here.
Classification
Radiance is the fifth set in just over two years. The bars show the scope.
The card counts are approximate figures for the main set. Depending on the source, Showcase and special cards are counted differently.
Riftbound Rarities
Six levels plus the Promo—that applies to Riftbound as a whole.
Quick Guide
