What could be better than giving yourself and your loved ones a few nice Commander rounds to round off the year? The five different two-tone decks provide you with everything you need. Definitely a great pastime for the festive season.

But is it worth it?

The first thing to look at here is the price. The new Commander Decks are priced a lot less than ”standard” Commander Decks, making them great for newcomers who want to dip their toes into the Magic the Gathering lake. The decks are also 100% a Reprint product and do not contain any new cards. The decks are very true to their colors and do exactly what is expected of the respective combinations. Of course, it must be said that the decks are absolutely aimed at new players and may not be of much use to Magic the Gahtering veterans. However, the individual reprints in the decks can still be interesting if you’re looking for some of the cards they contain.

It can also be said that the decks’ mana costs are technically on the higher side and games with the decks can easily last 1-2 hours of play. This gives you the opportunity to play together for a very long time, which can be an advantage on the one hand, but can also feel very long depending on your own preferences.
