Cyberstorm Access – a storm is coming!

What’s going on?

A storm is coming! The new set ”Cyberstorm Access” will be released at the beginning of May 2023. It is the 12th and last core set of Series 11 of Yu-Gi-Oh! In this article we take a look at what the new set will bring and what new features we can expect. The exact release date will be 04.05.2023. As usual, a total of 100 cards await us in the new set.

One of the biggest innovations of the set is the implementation of ”Link-5” monsters. Until now, there were only Link-4 monsters. We are curious to see if it is possible to surpass the old Link-4 in terms of strength and playability.

The ”Cyberse” archetype will also receive new support in the set. We are excited to see how the support will turn out. Altergeist, Crusadia and World Legacy will also be getting a breath of fresh air in the upcoming set and will build on the existing strengths and strategies of the respective archetypes. Superheavy Samurai will also receive new support in the form of some new Pendulum cards.

Reprints of cards that are already very popular can also be found in the set: the handtrap Cinder Blossom & Joyful Spring as well as Geistoger and Snow Hare get a new edition in this set. This will of course please both older fans and newcomers who absolutely have to get their hands on the cards.

New archetypes.

Manadome: has a lot of potential, but it’s not quite clear yet how good the archetype will be. In any case, it will be a synchro theme.

Nemurelia: Hey, a new Pendulum archetype! So far, only five cards are known for it. Let’s see where Konami wants to go with the new Pendulum deck.

Summary

The next set certainly looks very interesting and brings a lot of new archetypes and support for existing decks, which brings a lot of potential. And who knows, one or two more sets with support and suddenly all the pieces of the puzzle could fall into place for a new meta deck to be born!
