The 25th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh! is just around the corner!

Konami’s 25th anniversary with the game Yu-Gi-Oh! is just around the corner! The year 2023 is going to be really awesome:)

Five booster packs of Yu-Gi-Oh trading cards from the early 2000s will be reissued in 2023, bringing back popular cards like Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician, game maker Konami said Wednesday. And by Booster Packs, we mean fully-sealed displays!

The five displays being relaunched include Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Invasion of Chaos, Metal Raiders, Pharaoh’s Servant and Spell Ruler.

Konami will also be releasing a 25th Anniversary Collection box that includes six booster packs and six Ultra cards, a special card variant, a reprint of the Egyptian Gods card promos, and a seventh bonus card. This seventh bonus card gives players a look at a brand new rarity called the Quarter Century Rarity.

Legendary Collection: 25th Anniversary Edition contains:

• 1 pack Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon
• 1 pack of Metal Raiders
• 1 pack of Spell Ruler
• 1 pack of Pharoao’s Servant
• 1 pack of Dark Crisis
• 1 pack Invasion of Chaos
• 1 Ultra Rare card Obelisk the Tormentor, 1 Ultra Rare card Slifer the Sky Dragon, 1 Ultra Rare card The Winged Dragon of Ra, 1 Ultra Rare card Blue-eyed White Dragon, 1 Ultra Rare card Dark Mage, 1 Ultra Rare card Red-eyed Black Dragon and 1 Quarter-Century Secret Rare version of 1 of the 6 cards mentioned above (random).

Konami’s statement to the press:

“Trading card games are growing in popularity. During the pandemic, retailers couldn’t keep up with the sudden demand for Pokémon cards and people queued outside stores. Some customers even went so far as to run McDonald’s out of stock of Happy Meal toys and the boxes of cards ended up on eBay. The Pokémon company had to print 9 billion extra cards to curb demand and curb speculation. Yu-Gi-Oh! may not have achieved the enormous popularity of Pokémon, but it is one of the most popular trading card games alongside it and Magic. Master Duel, a video game version of the card game, has also grown in popularity over the past year and has seen an increase in player numbers on Steam.”

All of the above mentioned Booster Pack Displays will go on sale on July 14, 2023 at a price of CHF 79.95 per display. As the official tournament store, we can start selling the Packs two days before. The 25th Anniversary Collection Box will be released on April 21, 2023 and will sell for from CHF24.95 per set. As with the Booster Packs, we as official tournament stores will start selling the box two days before.
