The Pokémon Family Meyer – The Uncommon Shop Fans

This item is a very special one for us as The Uncommon Shop.

Eduard Meyer and his sons Temuulen and Temuujin have been regular customers of ours for a long time. With every Pokémon release, you can be sure that the Meyer family will order cards from us to add a few more to their collection. Recently, the family sent us a whole document explaining exactly how they became passionate about Pokémon and why they are such big fans of our store!

We even received permission to upload the document and pictures to our website – THANK YOU SO MUCH!

So here are the excerpts from the very nice message from the Meyer family to us – and to you!

We are the craziest Pokémon family

I am daddy Meyer and these are my 2 sons Temuujin, on the left in the 2nd picture and Temuulen on the right.
Temuujin turned 10 years old on January 7 and Temuulen will be 9 years old on September 11.
Our passion for Pokémon cards started in 2019 when many children at
school swapped their Pokémon cards in the playground and my two sons came home to
and asked me; PAPI can you buy Pokémon cards for us too? So we went to the Franz Karl Werber toy store and that’s how it all started.

I was just as enthusiastic about the Pokémon cards as my two sons. We researched the Internet and the YOU-TUBE pages, we looked at everything there was to know about these Pokémon cards. We found various import companies and stores
where these Pokémon cards are offered for sale. We went to various Pokémon exchanges. We also went to the one run by Franz Karl Weber, where we met some interesting collectors. My two sons and I learned to trade Pokémon cards with the real collectors and
to make sure that the cards were undamaged. So mint condition like fresh out of the box.

As the three of us (Papi Meyer, Temuujin and Temuulen) collect every version in both English and German, we collect quite a lot. We also don’t leave out any Pokémon series.

Temuujin now has Pokémon cards dating back to the beginning of 1995 Pokémon cards. So we are also looking to trade, or of course buy, your duplicate Pokémon cards from really serious collectors.
Temuujin now probably has between 2,000 – 3,000 Pokémon cards all nicely organized in his books by series. All Scheini cards in the series are listed in separate books.

Temuulen my youngest son naturally has just as many Pokémon cards as his brother Temuujin. Of course, many other Pokémon cards, as we divide up all the deliveries and everyone then
draws different Pokémon cards. However, all duplicate Pokémon cards are always divided up in the family so that everyone has the cards they still need from the others. But Temuulen also has an extraordinary 2,000 – 3,000 Pokémon card collection to show off.

We are always looking for Pokémon collectors who have started collecting Pokémon cards seriously since 1995 or later. But really only collectors who have carefully stored their Pokémon cards in protective foil and in their books after opening the buster or blister packs.
