Each of our faculties was founded by the Dragon Elder whose name it bears. Our founding members were shining examples of magic and knowledge, and each faculty strives to live up to the vision and magical prowess of its founder. We won’t be meeting the founders today, but with any luck they will be present at the introductory events.

The members of Kundhort are diligent researchers and bold adventurers. Ambitious scholars with a passion for history, they explore the past by poring over archaeological artifacts and summoning the spirits of the long dead. For some students, the past is a magnificent tapestry worthy of disciplined study, while others wrap it around them like a cloak before plunging into an almost forgotten tomb. Their motto is: “Every stone must be turned over.”

The Prismari are the theater children of Strixhaven, and they express themselves through magic. Their spells can be spectacles of unbridled creativity or meticulous artistic expression. The whole world is a stage, and whether their art is based in intellect or emotion: The Prismari always leave a lasting impression. Their motto is: “Expression through elements.”

Quandrix magicians are ingenious mathemagicians. They study patterns, fractals and symmetries to gain power over the fundamental forces of nature. They solve a Rubik’s Cube while pondering the metaphysical properties of the universe, and they can recite every digit of pi backwards. Their motto is: “Mathematics is magic.”

The members of the Silver Quill Faculty harness the magic of words – from inspiring battle poetry to biting arcane taunts. Stylish, fearsome and relentlessly competitive, these mages are born leaders with razor-sharp wits and a natural charisma that can be used for good or evil. Their motto is: “Style is good, quick-wittedness is even better.”

The members of the Blütenwelk faculty are goths who major in biology. They draw their power from the essence of living things – whether that means improving nature or exploiting it. Blossomworld mages are at their best when they can ride zombie crocodiles, gather herbs for potions or loiter in their swamp and play dark jokes. Their motto is: “Get your hands dirty.”
