All the products you need to start playing the Digimon card game can be found on our website. From displays to Booster Displays and decks to Digimon specific sleeves, players will find everything they need.
The deck consists of 50 main deck cards and up to 5 baby cards. Each deck can contain the same card up to four times. The Main Deck contains Digimon from Level 3 to Level 7, Option Card and Tamer Card. The Baby Deck consists only of Lvl 2 Digimon. As in other card games (e.g. Magic), the colors indicate which mechanics a deck works/plays with. For example, red is a rather classic aggro (very offensive) strategy and black is quite defensive in this game.
There are 4 different types of cards in the Digimon card game:
- Digimon cards (blue back)
- Baby cards (white back)
- Tamer cards
-Tamers have static effects and effects that you have to trigger yourself.
-There can be any number of Tamers on the field
-Tamers cannot attack - Option cards:
- Option cards can have many different effects
A Digimon card always follows the same structure logic. The DP is shown at the top right. They are comparable to the attack strength of Yu-Gi-Oh!. If two Digimon fight each other, the Digimon with less DP loses and is placed on the discard pile. The Memory Cost and Digitation Cost are shown at the top left. The memory cost shows how much memory must be paid to play the Digimon directly from your hand. To do this, you must count that many spaces to the right on the Memory Gauge card.
The Digitation Cost on the other side shows how much memory must be paid in order for the Digimon to evolve to another Digimon.
The last important part of the card are the skills (abilities) and the “inheritable” abilities. The skills are, as in any other game, what the card can do. Some kind of effects that come into play in specific scenarios, e.g. when they are played. One Digimon-specific type of ability is the “inheritable” ability. These are not available on our example card now, as Agumon Bond of Bravery can no longer be developed.
