The Astra Militarum is the backbone of the Imperium’s military might. They are the men and women who hold the line – a bulwark between humanity and a galaxy of nightmarish horrors. Among the massed regiments of the Astra Militarum, the grim Death Korps Of Krieg are particularly legendary. For these fanatical followers of the Imperial creed, death in battle is an honor to be sought – not feared. Their armies are built for attrition, designed to withstand relentless enemy attacks and strike back with overwhelming force.

As is traditional in the armies of Krieg, Lord Marshal Varnan Dreir leads this force from the front, on his trusty mount, armed with a laser pistol and a sabre. Behind him rides a troop of ten Death Riders – bold cavalrymen who charge through no man’s land with lances lowered and sabres drawn. Six combat engineers – experts in explosives, pioneers and close combat specialists – support them. Their task is to clear barbed wire and defuse mines before turning their shotguns and trenching butts against the enemy. Finally, an artillery squad uses towed guns to fire a wide variety of ammunition – suitable for wiping out entire infantry squads, blowing up fortified bunkers or destroying armored convoys.

This box is also the first place you’ll find the new Codex: Astra Militarum – a 168-page hardcover book with an exclusive cover that provides you with inspiring background, updated rules and epic artwork. In addition to the book and miniatures, you’ll find a complete datacard deck and a Death Korps Of Krieg decal sheet with over 800 markings, text and numbering.

The kit contains 509 plastic parts and is supplied with:
