    Alex Pereira is a Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter and former kickboxing champion who began his professional MMA career in 2015. Pereira is known for his devastating striking power and has won 10 of his victories by knockout, including four in the first round. After losing in his professional debut, he has since gone 12-2 and won 12 of his last 14 fights. In addition to his success in MMA, Pereira has an impressive kickboxing record of 33-7 with 21 knockouts, including notable wins over Israel Adesanya (twice) and Dustin Jacoby. His nickname has indigenous roots and reflects his heritage and fighting spirit.
