Commander Masters – THE Commander Set

The Commander Masters set from Magic the Gathering is just around the corner and is another in the ”Masters” series, which has enjoyed great popularity in the past. In this article you will find out what the set, which will be released on August 04, 2023, will look like.

Introduction

Masters sets usually convince with a very strong line-up of good and playable cards, and this set is no exception. However, the cards it contains are not Standard format legal this time either. A novelty is the focus on the 100-card Commander format, hence the name ”Commander Masters”. Not much is yet known about the exact contents of the set. The important data are:

• JULY 11: Previews begin

• 17-20 JULY: The two Commander Decks are introduced

• JULY 21: The complete set list will be known

• 04 AUGUST: Release of the set

Cards from Commander Masters

The cards that are known so far are already very convincing. Good reprints, strong new cards, what more could you expect from Commander Masters? Of course, there will be many more cards in the set, but this appetizer already tastes VERY good. One of the most interesting cards in this new Commander Masters set is ”Capture of Jingzhou”. This map was released in the ”Portal Three Kingdoms” set which was mainly designed for the Asian market. There was only a very small English print run in Australia, hence the slightly more expensive price tag of 110 USD. All blue players have one more reason to look forward to the Commander Masters set.

Products Commander Masters

There’s not really much to say about the Commander Masters product line-up. The usual suspects are there again: Collector Displays, Commander Decks, Draft Displays and Draft Booster Displays.

As this is a ”Masters” set, Commander Masters will of course be given the price tag of one. The products themselves are very expensive, but the value of the cards they contain definitely makes up for this. As always, you can find all the products for the set in our store.
