Flesh and Blood is an absolutely fantastic card game that offers great competitive appeal. But what exactly is Flesh and Blood (or FaB for short)?

FaB is a TCG strategy game set in a fantasy world:

Flesh and Blood is set in the world of Rathe. Rathe is a land of heroes and legends, thieves and villains, war and peace, magic and technology. The people of this world have long forgotten their ancestors and sacrifice their past in the hope of creating a better future.

This is a ruthless world, a web of treacherous landscapes and vicious creatures where only the strong learn to stand their ground. Massive volcanoes, icy plains and mysterious, hidden worlds create a harsh, unforgiving setting for human conflict and war. Yet despite the hidden dangers and ancient mysteries of the world, humanity has flourished and established societies across the continent. Some have learned to live in harmony with one another, embracing their fellow man and creating an age of peace. Others live in turmoil, and their state of constant warfare reflects the volatile environment they call home.

The history of this people is bloody – massive wars were fought across the country as opposing nations battled for power and influence. Solana, one of the first towns to put down roots, quickly absorbed other, smaller villages and brought a growing number of people into the community. Their growing numbers and zealous followers made them a powerful entity early in Rathe’s history and solidified their place in the land.

With the disappearance of its legendary protectors, Aria hid from the rest of the world, hiding behind an ancient barrier and natural defenses. The region disappeared into the realm of Mythen and legend, while the rest of the world slowly forgot its existence. As the fantastical realm faded from memory, its people settled in the valleys, choosing to live a life of peace and celebration.

Isolated from the rest of Rathe, the people of Misteria lie hidden among the mountain ranges, transforming the treacherous landscape into a safe haven. Far from the battles and petty conflicts of the outside world, they find contentment in the beauty and tranquillity of their homeland.

But others are not satisfied with the pursuit of peace and harmony. Vicious creatures fight to the death in vast, unforgiving jungles, while constant warfare rages in the volcanic plains of the south. A sprawling, technological city is the perfect breeding ground for rivalry and corruption, while depraved and twisted individuals lurk in the caverns below.

Welcome to Rathe… Pick up your sword and get ready for battle, because no matter where you flee, war will find you.

The studio behind it, Legendary Story Studios (LSS), deliberately focuses on competitiveness. The flagship format is ”Classic Constructed” (or CC). A deck of 80 cards is used to determine who is the better player in a best of 1 match lasting 50 minutes. But how do you play?

The first requirement to take part in the competitive game is an account. This can be created on the Flesh and Blood website. All tournaments are then listed on the website. The ”Organized Play” of LSS is very clearly laid out and thanks to the ”Even Search” function, you can quickly find a tournament in your area (in advance, this also applies to us).

Our Weekly Locals usually take place on Friday evenings. The address is Bahnhofstrasse 16, 8590 Romanshorn in beautiful Thurgau! We are a five-minute walk from the train station. Romanshorn is very well connected and even has a direct connection to Bern. For all those arriving by train, there are blue zones in front of the store which are not really occupied in the evening.
